professional Spanish translators

Communicate better with potential customers by offering information in their native language

Several studies have shown that customers feel more confident when purchasing products that are marketed in their own language. According to CSA Research’s “Can't Read, Won’t Buy” study, 65% of respondents prefer content in their native language, and 40% won’t consider buying in other languages.

Nevertheless, it is not only a matter of adapting content to make it more attractive to potential Spanish-speaking buyers, but also of complying with the legislation of target countries which require certain products to be marketed in Spanish or in the language of that market.

Spanish will enable your company to:

Extend the global reach of your business and reach a wider audience

Expand into new markets and increase international sales

Facilitate communication and increase customer and supplier confidence

Save time, money, and avoid errors in managing communication

Where is Spanish spoken?

Spanish is a Romance language native to the Iberian Peninsula. It is the mother tongue of more than 485 million people, making it second in terms of native speakers in the world after Mandarin Chinese. This Romance language is spoken in Spain and Latin America, as well as in some jurisdictions or states of the United States. It is also used in regions of West Africa and is present in parts of Asia, where there are large Spanish-speaking minorities.

Localisation and adaptation of Spanish variants

We adapt your content to the culture and variants of the language

Translations adapted to the different regions where Spanish is spoken

Because Spanish is widely spoken in very distant regions of the world, multiple variants and dialects have formed. Some of these variants correspond more to natural geographic areas than to the territorial division of states.

The professional translators on the iDISC team are native speakers of the Spanish variants of each target region or country and adapt translations so that they reach specific audiences more directly, which, in the case of marketing content, multiplies their effectiveness.

Of course, more neutral Spanish can also be used. This variant is more suitable for the translation of more technical documentation.

iDISC offers localisation into Spanish in the linguistic and dialectal variants of Spain, Latin America and the United States.

Frequently-asked questions about Spanish translation

What kind of documents can we translate into Spanish?

We can translate any file type or format. We extract the content, translate it and return the translated document respecting the formatting. We use tools that show the approved updates in the original text in order to apply them faithfully in the translated versions. All this without the need for a designer, editor or programmer.

How can you ask for a Spanish translation?

It’s very simple! All you have to do is fill out this form, attach the document you wish to translate and indicate the language and delivery date. We will contact you as soon as possible and start the translation process to ensure you receive your translations without delay.

How is the price of a Spanish translation calculated?

The translation rate for a document is calculated based on the number of words to be translated. Depending on the project, there are several factors that can influence the final price, such as language combination, content type, source format and delivery time, among others. Similarly, repeated phrases or words can reduce the cost of translation thanks to the use of technological tools.

How long does a Spanish translation take?

The usual waiting time for a simple translation is between 2 and 3 working days. The turnaround time depends mainly on the volume of words, but also on the degree of vocabulary specialisation. To give you a rough idea, a translator usually translates between 2000 and 2500 words per day on average. This work must then be reviewed by another translator, who may process around double or triple the number of words per day in proofreading tasks.

What guarantees are in place to ensure translation quality and confidentiality?

At iDISC, we comply with the ISO 9001, ISO 17100 and ISO 18587 quality standards, which establish requirements for professional competence and processes in translation services to ensure that translations are fit for their purpose.

With ISO 27001-accredited processes and in compliance with the GDPR, we also ensure the confidentiality of your translations and protect all your information with the latest cybersecurity tools, using secure systems for the storage, access to and transmission of documents.
